British Airways crew allegedly raped colleague during layover in S'pore, police investigating
Investigations are ongoing.

During a layover in Singapore, a British Airways (BA) crew member allegedly raped a female colleague after a social gathering among the staff.
According to the UK’s The Sun, the accused was arrested and detained in Singapore on Mar. 18.
In response to queries from Mothership, the Singapore Police Force confirmed that a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.
Airline cooperating with authorities
It was reported that two female BA employees connected to the case have since returned to the United Kingdom.
Representatives from BA have travelled to Singapore to cooperate with local authorities regarding the detained crew member, it was reported.
In response to queries from Mothership, the airline said: “This is a matter for the police, and it would be inappropriate to comment further.”
Other cases
This incident is said to be the latest in a series of legal issues involving BA staff in Singapore.
In February, The Sun reported that a BA pilot and a steward were suspended after colleagues accused them of allegedly possessing illegal substances at a bar in Chijmes.
Separately, legal proceedings are ongoing in another case involving a senior BA pilot accused of sexually assaulting a stewardess during off-duty hours in Singapore in April 2023.
