S'porean man, 22, arrested for allegedly trying to assault priest at Upper Thomson church
The priest was not injured.

A 22-year-old Singaporean Chinese man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted a priest after church service, during dispersal.
According to a Facebook post by the Singapore Police Force (SPF), the incident occurred at the Church of the Holy Spirit located at 248 Upper Thomson Road on Feb. 9 and they were alerted to the incident at about 10:35am.
The man was detained immediately by church security personnel.
No weapon was found in his possession and he was handed over to responding police officers.
The priest did not sustain any visible injuries, according to the police.
The police have arrested the man for an offence of public nuisance and will be referring him to IMH for further assessment.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the man is a regular churchgoer.
The police also called on the public to refrain from speculating about the incident as investigations are ongoing.
They added,"The police would like to advise the public to cooperate with security personnel deployed at places of worship, as they are there to ensure a safe environment for all."
