SingPost S'pore CEO resigns to pursue other opportunities
The group COO will assume the additional responsibility.

Shahrin Abdol Salam, chief executive officer of SingPost's local operations, has resigned.
He will pursue opportunities "outside the company", a SingPost spokesperson said in response to Mothership's queries.
A transition timeline is currently being worked out.
Upon his departure, group chief operating officer (COO) Neo Su Yin will assume the additional responsibility as CEO of local operations.
Neo was previously CEO of local operations between November 2021 and May 2024, the spokesperson said.
They added:
"We thank Shahrin for his contribution to SingPost during his time and wish him well in his future endeavours."
Leadership overhaul
Shahrin's departure comes shortly after a recent leadership overhaul in December 2024.
Three members of senior management — group CEO Vincent Phang, group CFO Vincent Yik, and chief executive of the company's international business unit Li Yu — were fired at one go.
They were found to be "grossly negligent" in the handling of internal investigations, following a whistleblower's report earlier in the year.
Phang and Yik then issued a statement refuting the terms for their sacking, calling the termination "without merits" and "procedurally unfair".
In response, SingPost published the details of their investigation and disciplinary processes, saying they found "serious misrepresentations" made by the three former executives.
New chapter
Elaborating on his departure, Shahrin said: "I have decided to step away from my role as CEO Singapore to focus on a new chapter in my career."
His resignation comes after less than a year on the job.
Shahrin is an active grassroots leader in the West Coast GRC, and chairs the Malay Activity Executive Committee in Ayer Rajah Community Club.
He was conferred the Pingat Bakti Masyarakat (Public Service Medal) in 2019 for his work in the constituency.
He is also a district representative in the People's Action Party's Malay Affairs Bureau, reported CNA.
West Coast GRC is a five-member GRC, but is short a Member of Parliament (MP) after former Transport Minister S Iswaran resigned last January amid corruption charges.
Currently, the MPs in West Coast are Minister for National Development Desmond Lee, Foo Mee Har, Ang Wei Neng, and Rachel Ong.
