On Feb. 23, Mediacorp actress Hong Ling's mother, Kaewsoda Kesorn, passed away at 52.
The 30-year-old shared a tribute to her mother on Feb. 24.
She wrote:
"Even in her final days, after chemotherapy had drained her, she still cooked for the whole family, worried that we wouldn't get to eat her home-cooked meals anymore. It was as if she was trying to give us one last piece of her, knowing her time was running out.
She was still so young. She spent her entire life caring for us, only starting to pursue her own happiness three years ago—gardening, practicing Tai Chi, hiking. But just as she began to live for herself, she was taken away."
Hours before Hong Ling posted the tribute, her husband, fellow actor Nick Teo, posted an Instagram story sharing the news about Kesorn's passing.

Her wake will be held from Feb. 24 and her cortege will be departing on Feb. 27 at 10am.
