Ready to celebrate Chinese New Year next week?
Here's some extra good news just before the holiday season.
Train and bus services will be extended on Chinese New Year Eve, Jan. 28, giving commuters extra time to get home after staying out late to soak in the festivities.
Train services
Train services extended include those on the North-South, East-West, Circle and Thomson-East Coast Lines, SMRT Corporation announced on Jan. 22.
Commuters should note that extended train services on North-South and East-West Lines will depart from City Hall.
Last train departure timings range from 1:15am to 2:14am.
There are no extensions for the Bukit Panjang LRT or the Changi Airport service.

Bus services
A total of 18 bus services will be extended on Chinese New Year's Eve, including those at Choa Chu Kang, Woodlands, Bukit Panjang, and Boon Lay interchanges, as well as opposite Choa Chu Kang MRT station.
Last bus departure timings range from 2:50am to 3:20am.

Another 19 bus services, including those at Bedok, Bishan, Tampines, and Yishun interchange, will also be extended, as previously announced by SBS Transit on Jan. 17.

Bus operator, Tower Transit, also said the operating hours for some bus services will also be adjusted on Chinese New Year's Eve.
