9-vehicle collision along PIE: 4 people, aged 34-77, sent to hospital
All nine drivers are assisting with police investigations.

Four people were conveyed to hospital after a chain collision involving eight cars and a van took place along Pan Island Expressway (PIE) towards Tuas, after Stevens Road exit, on Jan. 18 afternoon.
The aftermath of the incident was caught on camera by an onlooker, and the footage was subsequently uploaded to TikTok.

What video showed
In the video, eight cars and a van could be in a row along the middle lane of PIE.
As a result of the collision, the bonnets of two cars were open.
A total of 11 individuals, presumably the occupants of the vehicles, could be seen standing next to the vehicles.
A traffic police motorcycle was parked behind the last car.
According to a Facebook video, an ambulance could also be seen at the scene.
Police, SCDF statement
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed they were alerted to the collision at around 3:25pm on Jan. 18.
A male car driver, 34, and three female passengers from another car, aged between 59 and 77, were conveyed conscious to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
Eight car drivers and the van driver, aged between 31 and 73, are assisting with police investigations.
Police investigations are ongoing.
