Singaporean singer Kit Chan revealed that her marriage was never registered during her interview on the CNA documentary "The Assembly".
The episode was released on Jan. 15.
She was reported to have married a finance director, known to the media as Han, back in 2012. They are said to have dated for 12 years before getting married.
The big question
Chan was asked why she had kept her divorce a secret by one of the participants.
To which she shared that it was something that she has never talked about.

She went on to say that she was never officially married.
"This is something that I really have never talked about. But because you asked it, I'm going to, in the spirit of the show.
So actually, I was never divorced because I was never married. Are you shocked?"

Elaborating on what exactly happened, she said:
“So just to keep it short, I had a wedding dinner, but I was not really married. And of course we’re not going to go into the details of why. Therefore, I was never really divorced,”
Comparing her first relationship to her current one, she said:
"Now, I’m in a very good and happy relationship. And as to whether I will actually get married, you will know when it happens.”
