A 24-year-old man used a knife to injure two men at Prinsep Street and fled the scene on Oct. 25.

The police were alerted to the incident at about 7:50am that day, the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said in a press release on Oct. 26.

They arrived to find a 36-year-old male victim with gashes across the back of his head, left forearm, and the side of the left wrist.

He was conveyed conscious to the hospital.

A 25-year-old male victim sustained a gash on his left forearm.

Through extensive ground enquiries and with the aid of CCTV cameras, officers were able to identify the man and arrest him on the same day, SPF said.

The man is to be charged in court on Oct. 27 with the offence of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapon.

If convicted, he could be jailed for up to seven years, fined, caned, or given any combination of these.

The police would like to remind the public that they do not tolerate such brazen acts of violence or blatant disregard of the law.
