Something mysterious has gone loose at the Science Centre.
From Oct. 27 to Nov. 1, you are invited to investigate a mysterious outbreak as the galleries at Singapore's Science Centre transform into crime scenes for Spookology, the museum's biggest Halloween event.
Discover the science behind fear
In this interactive adventure, the thrills come with cool science lessons.
A secret experiment has gone wrong, and you and your friends are tasked to figure out what happened by gathering evidence and solving puzzles before time runs out.
Along the way, you will explore four hidden Fear Labs where you will uncover how movement, touch, sound, and illusion contribute to creating terror.
More thrills after dark
The event begins at 10am each day, but if you want to up the fear factor, go for the Afterdark edition from 7pm to 11pm.
The nighttime experience elevates the spooky atmosphere with live DJs spinning different music across different zones.
Happening two nights only on Oct. 30 and 31, the Spookology Afterdark programme also includes a screening of an original short film "Insanity", and a stargazing experience at the Science Centre's Observatory.
"Insanity", rated PG13, was shot at the Science Centre, turning the place into a psychological horror maze.
It will be screened at the Omni-Theatre every 30 minutes from 7pm, walk-ins only.
For the kids
While Spookology is suitable for ages six and above, there is a junior edition specially designed for the little investigators aged eight and below, from Oct. 30 to Nov. 1.
Happening next to the Science Centre at KidsSTOP, the spooky fun activities include making a flying spectre, designing a roll-a-roach toy, and brewing a wizard's potion.
They will receive a special gift after completing the missions.
There are two daytime sessions from 10am to 1pm, and 2pm to 5pm, and a nighttime session from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
Costumes are encouraged, especially for the Halloween dance on Oct. 30 and 31 at 7pm and 8pm.
Planning your visit
All Spookology tickets include admission to a Robo Trick or Treat session, and a best dressed contest where you can win prizes worth over S$1,500.
