Thai AGT winner Nene Royal to open for Avenged Sevenfold in S'pore on Oct. 13
She is the first ever Thai to win the competition.

Thai teenage rock sensation Nene Royal is coming to Singapore.
The Phuket-born 16-year-old girl is slated to open for American metal band Avenged Sevenfold's stop in Singapore, promoter Midas Promotions announced.
She recently clinched her victory on season 21 of America's Got Talent (AGT) on Sep. 22, becoming the first-ever Thai to do so.
The concert will be held on Oct. 13, 2026 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Tickets start at S$128.
Who?
Nene Royal, whose real name is Rattikarn Amloy, began playing the guitar at the age of six, learning from online videos.
When she was nine years old, she began uploading videos of her playing guitar to Youtube, both solo as well as with her band, Ozone.
In fact, she has posted videos of Ozone playing songs by A7X in the past, such as their hit "Hail to the King".
She and her band would frequently busk at the Naka Weekend Market in Phuket on Sundays, reported the Bangkok Post.
AGT win
According to the Thai Enquirer, Nene Royal's bid for the competition was supported by the Thai government, with the goal of promoting Thai culture and soft power.
She wowed the judges with her guitar skills and powerful vocals, performing rock classics such as "Zombie" by The Cranberries and "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden.
The latter earned her a Golden Buzzer from judge Mel B, sending her directly to the final.
She ultimately won the competition with her rendition of "Seven Nation Army" by the White Stripes.
With her victory, she brought home a prize of US$1 million (S$1.28 million).
Avenged Sevenfold in Singapore
She will be sharing the stage in Singapore with Avenged Sevenfold, also known to fans as "A7X".
Debuting with a metalcore sound in the early 2000s, the band gradually adopted elements of traditional heavy metal and hard rock and garnered a worldwide fan following.
They were nominated for their first Grammy Award in 2018.
A7X is currently touring Asia, with other stops in Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and Bangkok.
Their Singapore stop will be their first time here in 11 years.
This is not the first time that Nene Royal will be sharing the stage with one of her heroes.
On the AGT finale show on Sep. 23, she played together with nu-metal band Linkin Park.
