Race Course Road flat fire: 3 found unconscious

A fire broke out at a flat at Block 684 Race Course Road on Aug. 3 evening.

In a Facebook post, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the incident at about 7:10pm.

Upon SCDF's arrival, a fifth-floor bedroom unit was on fire.

The fire was extinguished with a water jet.

Five persons were found trapped in the unit.

One person was rescued by the police.

The other four persons were rescued by SCDF.

Out of the five persons rescued, three were unconscious.

SCDF said three persons were conveyed to Singapore General Hospital and two persons were conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

Investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.
