Here's the social media account posting about it.
They placed a friendly reminder that the drop was not limited edition.
Mothership understands that an announcement was made about the non-opening at around 6:20am.
A few folks who queued, Hiren, Daeng, Zhafran, and Juan, all 20, say they had been there since yesterday afternoon, and were very disappointed about the closure.
They said they found out last minute on Instagram, and wished management would have informed them earlier.
They will not be going to Ion or MBS because the size of the crowds there would probably mean they wouldn't get hold of a watch anyway.
A couple, aged 31 and 32, said they also found out from social media, and said they would have gone to the other locations if they knew.
Even with the non-opening news, quite a few folks remained at the mall.
Some of the people remaining said they were waiting for the manager of the Swatch outlet to give them their feedback.
