2 children sit on rear of moving Porsche along Dairy Farm Lane: Man, 40, to be charged with rash act

A 40-year-old man will be charged in court on Mar. 26 for allegedly driving a car with his two children seated on the boot along Dairy Farm Lane while the act was being filmed, police said on Mar. 25.

According to the police, the incident took place at about 10:40am on Oct. 20, 2025, after officers received a report that two children had been seen sitting on the rear of a Porsche.
Follow-up investigations by traffic police later established the identity of the driver, who was subsequently arrested.
The man will be charged with committing a rash act which endangered the safety of persons below 14 years of age.
If convicted, he may face up to six months’ jail, a fine of up to S$2,500, or both.
Incident had earlier circulated online
The case had previously drawn attention online after a video surfaced showing two children seated at the rear of a yellow Porsche travelling along Dairy Farm Lane.

In the footage, the children appeared to be holding onto the vehicle’s rear spoiler as the car moved through the area, prompting concern among netizens when the clip began circulating on social media.
Police remind parents of child safety rules
The traffic police said they would not hesitate to take firm action against acts that endanger lives or safety, adding that children must be properly secured in suitable child restraints or car seats when travelling in vehicles.
Police also reminded parents and caregivers not to place children in dangerous positions such as on car boots, warning that such behaviour could expose them to serious injury or death.
