Lee Young Ae, 55, takes photo with 'Dae Jang Geum' posters 23 years after show, looks exactly the same

Lee Young Ae, 55, put up a series of Instagram posts during her trip to Jeju Island.

The island was one of the filming sites for legendary Korean drama "Dae Jang Geum", also known as "Jewel in the Palace".

Lee played the titular character, more commonly known as Chang Jin, in Singapore.

Her recent Instagram post saw her reconnect with her role as the royal physician.

She also talked about how touched she was to see this character again.

Most comments were filled with nostalgia, noting how much the show affected them, and how important they viewed it despite the passage of time. Others focused on how that passage of time had not seemed to affect Lee at all.

While there were rumours a few years back that Lee would be part of a sequel to the show, the show writer clarified that her new show was a completely different IP.

So this might be the closest we get to Lee back in the world of Chang Jin for a while.
