Price-sensitive motorists in Singapore are turning up in droves at the Cnergy Dunman petrol station.
Opened in Oct. 6, 2025, the Cnergy petrol station took over the Shell station in the Katong area.
Cnergy is under Union Gas Holdings, which provides fuel products in Singapore.
Cheaper petrol
Cneryg's latest 95-octane petrol price on Mar. 15 is S$2.41 per litre.
This is 98 cents cheaper than the S$3.39 before-discount price offered by SPC.
Cnergy is also cheaper than Shell, Esso and Sinopec, which have priced their 95-octane petrol at S$3.40 before discounts.

Before the Iran war, Cnergy's 95-octane petrol was retailing at S$1.99.
Cnergy members get cheaper fuel
Motorists who sign up for the Cnergy membership get to pump its petrol and diesel at the members-only prices.
The S$2.41 per litre price for 95-octane petrol is the non-member price.
The members-only price is S$2.35 per litre.
Drivers can become members by paying a one-time fee of S$5 and receive a S$6 discount in return.
Private-hire vehicle and taxi drivers can enjoy a further discounted 95-octane petrol price of S$2.26 as members
Members are entitled to other discounts at other Cnergy petrol stations located at Queensway and Old Toh Tuck Road.
Price comparison
Other petrol stations typically offer discounts for certain credit card holders and members.
The discounts can be combined.
SPC, for example, has a 10 per cent discount for those with the SPC membership.
This can be combined with a 5 per cent credit card discount, which also offers a 6 per cent cash rebate, making the effective discount 20.1 per cent.
SPC's 95-octane petrol costs S$2.71 after discounts.
Constant queue
A Shin Min Daily News reporter visited the Cnergy Dunman petrol station several times over two days and noticed a constant stream of more than 10 cars queuing up to pump petrol.
Nearly 60 per cent of the vehicles carried the private-hire vehicle decal.
This detail was confirmed by Teo Hark Piang, the executive director and CEO of Union Gas Holdings.
He told Shin Min that more than half of Cynergy's customers are private-hire vehicle drivers.
However, a member of the public tipped Mothership off on Mar. 16 about the congestion that has resulted from the vehicles waiting in line at the Cnergy Dunman petrol station.

The queue has apparently prevented public buses from plying their route along Dunman Road.
Membership went up
Cnergy currently has tens of thousands of members, it was reported.
Membership has risen by 10 per cent since the outbreak of the war on Iran, which started on Feb. 28, 2026.
The number of taxi drivers patronising Cynergy has increased by 30 per cent during the same period, Teo also revealed.
Cnergy has not carried advertisements promoting its petrol stations.
Teo said he believes the increase in customers is through word-of-mouth recommendations.
