When was the last time you went to the airport without a flight to catch?

The public areas of Singapore Changi Airport (Terminals 1 to 4, excluding Jewel) aren’t just for travellers.

From free play areas and kids-eat-free deals to 24/7 supper spots and year-round GST absorption, there’s plenty to discover even if you’re just popping by for a few hours.

Fun for the family

For families with children aged up to 12, you will be pleased to know that Changi’s public areas are surprisingly well-equipped for a fuss-free day out.

Free play areas (with plane views)

At T1’s Viewing Mall, there’s an indoor children’s play area and kiddy rides — all within sight of the runway.

Kids can play while watching planes take off, which is a unique experience in Singapore.

Climb, jump, and “The Floor Is Lava”

For more active kids (and adventurous parents), Climb @ T3 offers family-friendly climbing facilities suitable for children as young as two years old.

There are rope-free boulder walls, an eight-metre-high wall with multiple climbing routes, and both guided and unguided programmes.

Griddy Grid (T2, Level 3) turns the classic “The Floor Is Lava” game into an immersive challenge with flashing tiles and timed reflex tests — great for siblings or friendly family competition.
