Public use hosereel to put out fire engulfing car at Boon Lay Place car park

A car caught fire at the open car park near Block 221 Boon Lay Place on Feb. 27.
The Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted to the incident on Friday at about 5:45pm.
The fire involved a car, SCDF said.
Members of the public extinguished the fire using a hosereel prior to SCDF's arrival.
There were no reported injuries.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A TikTok showed members of the public approaching the burning vehicle with a hosereel and aiming the water at the fire.

The final scene showed the charred remains of the car at the car park as it was still being hosed down.
