Car overturns along Martin Place, 4 women, aged 52-73, taken to hospital
One person was trapped in the front passenger seat.
A car overturned shortly after leaving a parking lot along Martin Road outside Martin Place Residences in the River Valley area on Feb. 14 at about 12pm.
Rescue personnel had to use hydraulic tools to free one of the vehicle's occupants.
All the occupants in the car were women, Shin Min Daily News reported.
Police said the vehicle was believed to have self-skidded.
The 68-year-old driver and three passengers, aged 52 to 73, were all conveyed to the hospital in a conscious state.
The driver is assisting with the investigation.
What was witnessed in aftermath of incident
The vehicle, a BYD SUV, had turned turtle with smoke seen billowing from the vehicle.
A few people were seen seated by the kerb near the car in the aftermath of the accident.
Passers-by reportedly helped to free the driver and the passengers in the rear seat, but the passenger in the front passenger seat was trapped inside the car.
A front passenger seat door was seen on the road.
It was believed to have been removed by SCDF personnel during rescue operations.
Trees nearby were observed to have been hit by the vehicle, as scratch marks were left on the tree bark.
