Hotel chain Ascott has offered complimentary accommodation to the father of a six-year-old girl who died in a car accident in Chinatown on Feb 6.

This is to "support him during this difficult period", the hotel said in a statement on Feb. 11, as his wife is still in intensive care in a Singapore hospital.

“Our hearts go out to Mr Ashar Ardianto and his family following this tragedy," Ascott said, as reported by The Straits Times.

Embassy assisting family

While Sheyna Lashira's body has been claimed by relatives and repatriated to Jakarta, her 31-year-old mother, Raisha Anindra, is still receiving treatment at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH).

She is in stable condition but has not yet been cleared to return home to Jakarta.

The Indonesian embassy shared in a statement to Mothership that it has continuously accompanied the family since the day of the incident.

It will continue to monitor Raisha's medical condition while coordinating with SGH regarding her treatment.
