Car turns turtle along Braddell Road: Male driver, 79, assisting with investigations

A 79-year-old male car driver is assisting with investigations after his car appeared to have self-skidded along Braddell Road towards Bartley Road on Feb. 10, 2026.

Videos and images provided by a Mothership reader showed the car filtering to the right-most lane before it drove up the kerb, hit a guardrail, and flipped over.

Smoke could then be seen being emitted from the car's exhaust pipe after it landed on its roof.

Speaking to Mothership, the driver whose dashcam captured the accident said the elderly driver appeared shaken, but was apparently "ok", despite sustaining scratches.

Injuries, investigation

Responding to Mothership's queries, the police confirmed that they were alerted to the accident at about 2pm on Feb. 10 involving a car.

The vehicle was believed to have self-skidded along Braddell Road towards Bartley Road, the police said.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said the 79-year-old male car driver was assessed for minor injuries and he declined to be sent to the hospital.

The male car driver is assisting with investigations and police investigations are ongoing.
