2 boys, aged 13, riding a PMD in Yishun get hit by car that had right of way

Two boys, both aged 13, got into an accident with a car in Yishun on Dec. 28, while riding on a personal mobility device (PMD).

Both youths were taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

Dashcam footage posted online, derived from the vehicle that hit them, showed the duo riding the PMD across a junction from the right.

The car appeared to be making a right turn and had the right of way.

The rider and pillion then rode into its path.

Both boys were sent flying when the car hit them.

The police said they were alerted to the accident at the junction of Yishun Ring Road and Yishun Avenue 2 at about 11:10pm on Sunday.

Aftermath

Both boys were seen lying on the road in the immediate aftermath of the collision.

They appeared to be writhing in pain.

Both of them appeared to be moving when they were attended to by SCDF personnel.
