S'pore man about to board flight accidentally sends passport down airport baggage conveyor belt
The man said this taught him the importance of keeping his passport safe.
A Singapore man nearly missed his holiday when he sent not just his luggage down the airport baggage conveyor belt, but his passport as well.
In a December 2025 TikTok video, user "walkerkensg" recounted how he placed his passport on his luggage that was on the conveyor belt.
He said in a later video that he was headed for Harbin, China, adding that it had been 14 years since he had been dreaming about travelling there.
Panic
However, his holiday nearly went awry when his passport went down the luggage conveyor belt.
In one video about the incident, he suddenly paused in shock when he realised what had just happened as he would not be able to travel without a passport.

He later posted a follow-up video about how he got his passport back, in response to a netizen's comment on his previous video.
According to the follow-up video, he approached ground crew for help and showed them video proof of the incident.

After some time, the video showed that he got his passport back together with his boarding pass.

Harbin trip
Noting that this holiday cost him S$5,000, he was thankful to staff from Changi Airport, Scoot and The SATS Group for helping to locate and retrieve his passport.
He praised the staff for being friendly and helpful, adding that this was "a lesson learnt the hard way about the importance of keeping [his] passport safe during travel".
Netizen reactions
His videos have since garnered more than 3,000 likes, with netizens amused by the incident and commenting that he was lucky that Singapore airport staff are efficient.
