18 babies and 10 children were among 34 rescued from a kindergarten in Johor after flash floods swept across the state on Dec. 12.
The Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) said that it received an emergency call on the incident at about 4:26pm, after which a nine-member fire rescue crew was dispatched to the scene, Malay Mail reported.
Among those rescued were 18 infants, 10 children, five teachers and one cook from the kindergarten.
Clips of the rescue mission posted on Johor Bahru Fire and Rescue Station (BBP Larkin)'s social media accounts show the group being transported out of the affected areas using rescue boats.
They were assisted by four members of the Royal Malaysian Police, according to JBPM.
