The Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) has revoked the Long-Term Visit Pass of a Myanmar national, 15.

She was found to have an e-vaporiser pod containing etomidate during a routine check by police officers.

According to a Dec. 8, 2025, joint press release by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and the Health Sciences Authority (HSA), this is the first such case of a foreigner's long-term visit pass being revoked for possession of an etomidate e-vaporiser.

The action was taken on Nov. 14, 2025.

"Under the enhanced anti-vaping framework that came into force on [Sep. 1, 2025], foreigners caught in possession of or using etomidate e-vaporisers, or who test positive for etomidate, may have their pass or immigration facility revoked and be deported and banned from re-entering Singapore."

The individual has been issued a Special Pass for her to remain in Singapore to assist with ongoing investigations by the police, for other criminal offences.

Following the conclusion of her case, she will be deported and barred from re-entering Singapore, the statement said.
