The Muji outlet at 100 AM mall in Tanjong Pagar has closed down.
An announcement about its cessation of operations was put up on Facebook on Nov. 24.
It announced that the 100 AM outlet will cease operations on Nov. 25.
The post added:
"The decision was made after careful consideration as part of our business strategy. We sincerely thank all our customers for your support and patronage over the years. Please visit our other Muji stores and Cafe&Meal Muji outlets for your favourite products and meals."
The Muji outlet on the fourth floor of 100 AM was opened in April 2023.
It was the Japanese brand's 11th store in Singapore in conjunction with 20 years of operating in the country that year.
In a press release announcing its opening at the time, the store was touted as having 1,050 sq m of retail space, with a cafe that occupied 230 sq m of dining and kitchen area, which could accommodate up to 70 diners at a time.
There are currently 12 Muji outlets in Singapore.
Within southern Singapore, there are eight outlets: Ion Orchard, Paragon, 313@Somerset, Plaza Singapura, Great World, Bugis Junction, Raffles City and VivoCity.
The rest are located at Jem, Tampines 1, Jewel Changi Airport and Punggol Coast Mall.
