A 42-year-old woman was found dead in a car at a Housing and Development Board (HDB) car park on the evening of Oct. 17.
Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Mothership that on Oct. 17 at about 8:25pm, they received a call for assistance at Block 16B Joo Seng Road.
A 42-year-old woman was found lying motionless in a car at the carpark of the block and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

That evening, police officers were seen cordoning off a section of the car park, according to Shin Min Daily News (Shin Min).
A woman was carried out of a black car by authorities.
Several members of the public, believed to be family members of the deceased, gathered at the scene as police continued their investigations till close to midnight.
Two people reportedly fainted after seeing the body, Shin Min reported.
The fainted people were reportedly carried to a nearby spot, and others were seen fanning them.
Police do not suspect foul play
Police were seen retrieving cash and red packets from the car, which were photographed as part of investigations, according to Shin Min.
An item that appeared to be a paint bucket was also seized as evidence.

Police told Mothership that based on preliminary investigations, they do not suspect foul play.
