Telegram WhatsappA homeowner has thrown shade at a deliveryman who took an automatic umbrella from a house that he was delivering to.

Folding umbrella

On Oct. 17, the SGFOLLOWSALL Telegram channel shared a video sent to them by a follower.

The video showed a delivery man helping himself to what appeared to be a pair of appreciation packs that had been placed on top of a shoe cabinet.

Near the packs appeared to be a package that he had just delivered.

After placing the packs in his bag, the delivery man looks around and spots something.

He then grabs what looks like a folding umbrella from outside the camera’s view, before turning away and leaving.

Know how to choose bro

The homeowner involved appears not to have been so bothered by the taking of an umbrella in general, but rather by the fact that the one that had been taken was a special “automatic” umbrella from Japan.

The video’s caption described the incident saying: “Wah, help… You stole my son’s umbrella! Regular umbrella you steal nvm, but this one from Japan bro, automatic one bro.”

“You sure know how to choose bro.”

The post’s caption indicates that the delivery was from the online retail portal Lazada Singapore.

Lazada typically delivers packages using several delivery partners, but also has its own in-house delivery partner, Lazada Logistics.

It is not known who provided the delivery service for this homeowner’s package.

Online searches indicate that an umbrella with similar features imported from Japan can cost around S$36 or more.

Mothership has reached out to Lazada for comment.
