M'sia schoolgirl in ICU after bullies allegedly force-fed her spicy food in toilet, aggravating her heart condition

A woman in Malaysia alleged on social media that her school-going daughter was dragged into a toilet, blindfolded and force-fed spicy food at her hostel.

She said in a series of Threads posts that her daughter was sent to the intensive care unit (ICU) of a Kuala Lumpur hospital on Oct. 8 after experiencing chest pain.

"I understand that this incident is related to the bullying case involving my daughter, where the words 'pergi mampus' (Malay for 'go and die / go to hell') were written on her hand in blue marker," her post read.

Daughter admitted to ICU for chest pain

According to the woman, her daughter studies at an undisclosed educational institution under a religious agency in Malaysia, Kosmo reported.

The woman told police that on Oct. 8, at around 10:55am, she got a call from a female religious teacher at the school, who told her that her daughter was experiencing chest pain.

The girl was brought to a clinic for a checkup before being referred to Kuala Lumpur Hospital ICU for treatment as her heart readings were unstable, New Straits Times reported.

Her mother said she had heart problems since she was a young child, but had not experienced serious complications for several years, until the alleged bullying incidents took place.

The girl is now under psychiatric care and has been prescribed medication to help calm her down.

She is scheduled to undergo surgery on Oct. 23.

The girl's account

The woman told police that she later heard an account of what happened from her daughter.

According to the girl, she had been dragged into a toilet by the bullies on Oct. 7, when there were no prefects around.

She was allegedly forced to eat spicy food while blindfolded.

This led to her vomiting, and experiencing chest pain.

The woman said that her daughter was bullied on at least two previous occasions.

She alleged that the bullies previously stepped on and broke her daughter's spectacles, and also shoved her till she fell before stepping on her hand.

Alleged bullies in same hostel

The woman believed the bullies were students in the same hostel as her daughter.

She subsequently lodged a police report at the Sentul police headquarters in KL.

The woman asked for prayers for her daughter's recovery and for justice to prevail as police investigate her daughter's case.

She said she is not trying to find fault, but as a mother, she is heartbroken as she sent her daughter to the hostel in trust, and the trust has now been shattered.
