Man defecates in broad daylight at Bukit Batok void deck stairs, woman screams & takes his photo

A man was caught defecating in broad daylight on the stairs at the void deck of a Bukit Batok block of flats on Oct. 31 at around 1:30pm.

The witness, a woman who caught the man red-handed, screamed and took a picture of his unsanitary actions, and reported the matter to the police, she told Mothership.

In her tip-off, the woman, who wanted to be known as Mummy Kae, said she was on her way out of her house at Block 122 Bukit Batok Central and had exited the lift on the ground floor at the time of the incident.

The staircase is located beside the lift lobby.

What happened

Kae said: "It happened at around 1:29pm, which is around the time school children return home. While he wasn’t intentionally flashing, his private parts were visible."

Recounting the incident, Kae added: "My first instinct was to report to the police because it was indecent exposure. I saw his private parts."

She also said: "I saw him as the lift door opened. I screamed at him and he pulled up his pants and ran away. Looking back, I should have chased after him, but my Grab (ride) had already arrived."

She added that she should have taken a video, but she was flustered and did not know what to do.

Took photo of evidence

After the man left the scene, she did approach the excrement that was left behind and took a photo of it as evidence of what he had done.

She also said there was "a smell".

She reported the incident on the SGSecure app and the police, but it did not occur to her to inform the town council at the time.

A man was previously fined S$400 for defecating in a public area at Marina Bay Sands (MBS).
