Kim Dae Mun, Korean eatery in Concorde Hotel along Orchard Rd, to close in Nov. 2025
Another budget option gone.
Kim Dae Mun, a family-run eatery along Orchard Road known for its value-for-money Korean food, will be closing for good.
According to a post by the eatery on Facebook, its last day of operation will be on Nov. 30.
The post read: "We will be closing for good soon. Last day of serving your favourite Korean food is Nov. 30, 2025. So come on down to taste your favourite Korean food one last time!"
In response to a user's question about whether they would be reopening at a different location, the eatery wrote,
"Currently there are no plans to open anywhere else."

A budget food option in the area
Located on the first floor of Concord Shopping Mall along Orchard Road, Kim Dae Mun has been a mainstay of the area for the past decade.

The Korean-owned eatery serves up staple Korean fare, such as hot plate dishes, kimchi stew and bibimbap.

As it is a no-frills eatery, customers would pay at a counter and collect their own food.

Many online reviewers over the years have praised the eatery for its affordable prices and generous portions.

Other users recalled patronising the eatery more than a decade ago when it was located in a food court at Orchard Point.

The eatery later shifted to the Concord Hotel building, where it has remained since the 2010s.
It shifted locations within the premises at least twice, going from the second floor to a food court unit on the first floor, before taking up its current standalone space.
