Veteran Hong Kong actor Benz Hui has passed away.
He was 76.
The news were shared to media by Hong Kong actress Luisa Maria Leitão, who was a close friend of Hui.
The cause of death was multiple organ failure due to cancer.
Many celebrities were seen visiting him at the hospital on Oct. 27, including Chow Yun Fat.
Hui was a Singapore permanent resident.
He lived in Yishun and previously shared in an interview that he planned to retire in Singapore.
In a Facebook post, former MP Lee Bee Wah paid tribute to Hui.
"So sad to lose a great guy, I'm very sad," she wrote in Mandarin.
In recent years, Hui was best known for playing an undercover cop-turned-crime boss, known as Foon Hei Gor, in TVB's Line Walker series.
