Abandoned newborn baby girl found alive inside a bag in M'sia

A newborn baby girl was found alive outside a house in Subang Jaya, Malaysia, on Oct. 27.

Malay Mail reported that police received information about an abandoned baby girl at around 10:30am.

Police said the infant was found inside a bag, unclothed.

The umbilical cord was still attached and covered in blood.

Photos circulating online apparently showed a baby in a blue bag.

The infant appeared to be wrapped in a towel or blanket.

However, it was unconfirmed if the child photographed was the one who was abandoned in this recent case.

According to The Star, the baby was taken to the hospital and was found to be healthy.

She weighed 2.6kg and was 43cm in length.

Police are currently tracking down the individual who abandoned the girl and the case is being investigated as a concealment of birth case.

Members of the public with information are requested to contact the Subang Jaya District Police Headquarters in Malaysia.
