Woman hit by car after jaywalking along Clemenceau Avenue, police report lodged
The incident reportedly occurred at around 1.30pm on Sep. 13.
A woman in Singapore was hit by a car after crossing a road along Clemenceau Avenue North on Sep. 13.
A video of the incident shared on the SGRV Facebook page showed the pedestrian jaywalking across a busy road before she was struck and thrown onto the kerb.
According to the post, the incident reportedly occurred at around 1:30pm.
In response to Mothership's queries, the Singapore Police Force said that a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.
Dashed across the road, knocked down by car
At the start of the camcar footage, the woman was seen holding an umbrella as she crossed the road.
A blue taxi then appeared to slow down as it approached her in the second lane, prompting her to run across.
However, she was struck by a moving silver car in the leftmost lane.
The collision flung her to the ground, where she hit the roadside kerb.

The woman then lifted herself and sat on the kerb.
Towards the last part of the clip, the driver was seen exiting the vehicle.
Mixed reactions
The incident drew mixed reactions online.
Some blamed the driver, with a few users saying that he was "dreaming" due to his lack of alertness.
