Tampines Ave 10 chain collision: 2 children, aged 6 & 9, among 5 people sent to hospital

A 60-year-old female driver is assisting police with investigations.

Two children, aged six and nine, were among five people sent to hospital following a chain collision at Tampines Avenue 10 on Sep. 4.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the accident at about 6:30pm that day.

Footage shared online showed a white car travelling along Tampines Avenue 10, towards Pasir Ris Drive 12, before hitting a red car at the right-most lane.

Car struck from behind

Five vehicles were seen stationary on the road.

A white car appeared to have struck a red car from behind.

One child was seated on the road divider, while another child was carried by an adult.

Two other women were also seated on the road divdier.

Female driver assisting with investigations

Two people were taken to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, while the other three, a 60-year-old female driver, a 32-year-old male driver, and a 40-year-old male driver, were taken to Changi General Hospital.

The children were the passengers of the 40-year-old male driver.

All were conveyed conscious to the hospitals.

The 60-year-old female driver is assisting police with investigations.
