Taiwan YouTuber beaten up in Seoul after rejecting man's offer of sex
The YouTuber showed her injuries, including numerous bruises.
A Taiwanese influencer was reportedly beaten up after she rejected the advances of a man in Seoul, South Korea.
According to Taiwan English news outlet Formosa News, Liu Liying was hit multiple times when she confronted the man after he made advances on her.
The incident reportedly occurred in the Hongdae neighbourhood in Mapo District, reported Korea JoongAng Daily.
Suffered multiple injuries after being approached by two men
Liu was walking along Hongdae with her female friend when they were approached by two male strangers.
One man had flirted with her but she rejected his advances, reported Formosa News.
The man then allegedly slapped her, prompting her to confront him.
He then allegedly continued hitting her.
Liu sustained several injuries following the assault.
On Sep. 15, she shared the experience and photos of her injuries on her Threads account, showing multiple large bruises on her arms and legs.

According to Liu, she had sought help from the local police after the encounter, but they allegedly did not fully assist her and told her that such incidents were "common in the country".
She added that the officers allegedly told her to "go home and rest" after taking down her personal details.
Men confirmed to be Chinese nationals: Mapo police
Initial reports suggested that the men who attacked Liu were Korean.
However, the Mapo Police Precinct confirmed on Sep. 17 that they were Chinese nationals, according to Korea JoongAng Daily.
Police also said that they had received a report of a Chinese man in his 20s hitting two Taiwanese women, prompting an internal investigation.
A police spokesperson said that they would compile information from those involved in the incident to establish the exact motive for the crime.
