KFC outlet in Kallang near National Stadium undergoing renovation, not permanently closed
The place was boarded up about a week ago.
The standalone KFC outlet in Kallang near the National Stadium has been boarded up and listed as permanently closed on Google.
Not permanently closed
However, a representative from KFC confirmed that the restaurant is "undergoing major renovations till mid November 2025".
The spokesperson added: "Upon completion, KFC Kallang will be relaunched as one of KFC’s iconic flagship restaurants in Singapore and fans can look forward to its fresh new look."
"We confirm that this is a temporary closure and not a permanent cessation of operation."
The public can look out for updates on the outlet's reopening on KFC's social media accounts.

According to a review on Google, the outlet was closed about a week ago in mid-September.
A customer had complained that there was no more soap at the wash basin and was told that the business will be closed the next day.
Another review mentioned that the outlet was boarded up with no notices provided at the location or online to inform the public of its future operations.
Place appeared run down
Other photos uploaded a few weeks and months ago showed the premises open, but run down.

It is understood that the KFC outlet has been operating at the 190 Stadium Boulevard location for about two decades.
