4 hawker centres in S'pore to close on Sep. 22 for 2-3 months for renovations
Take note, diners.
A number of hawker centres in Singapore will be temporarily closed for up to three months for repairs and upgrading.
The following food centres will close on Sep. 22:
- Toa Payoh Lorong 8 Market & Hawker Centre (Block 210 Lorong 8 Toa Payoh) reopens on Nov. 24
- Ang Mo Kio 628 Market & Food Centre (Block 628 Ang Mo Kio Ave 4), reopens on Dec. 15
- Boon Lay Place Market & Food Village (Block 221A/ B Boon Lay Place), reopns on Dec. 21
- Haig Road Market & Food Centre (Block 13/ 14 Haig Road), reopens on Dec 22

Other closures slated
Other temporary hawker centre closures are also slated in September and October.
Berseh Food Centre at 166 Jalan Besar will be closed from Sep. 29 to Dec. 28, for repairs and redecoration.

Circuit Road Hawker Centre at Block 79/ 79A Circuit Road will be closed from Oct. 1 to Dec. 31, for the same reason.

The National Environment Agency (NEA) said it conducts regular spring cleaning, repairs and redecoration at centres owned by the Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment.
