The elderly woman looked visibly shaken but managed to get the toddler back on her feet and held onto her.
Fortunately, the driver of the car behind the van was able to slow down in time.
"Eh eh eh eh eh, walao eh, scare me leh," a woman, who's supposedly the driver, could be heard saying in the footage.
The car stopped, and the driver was seen helping the elderly pedestrian back to her feet.
The woman picked up the girl and limped away across the road, after the driver ensured the road was clear for them.
Comments under the video suggested that the woman could have fallen while she was rushing or panicked at the oncoming vehicles and missed a step at the divider.
One commenter pointed out that the van had signalled the warning lights to inform the car behind.
Many suggested pedestrians to use the traffic light or zebra crossing instead, especially when crossing the road with children.
