A 16-year-old boy was stabbed during a dispute with two older men along Rochor Canal Road on Sep. 7.

He and another man, 26, sustained stab wounds to their arm and back respectively during the fight.

Both were conveyed conscious to hospital.

Four men, aged 31 to 32, were subsequently arrested for allegedly rioting while armed with a deadly weapon, said the Singapore Police Force on Sep. 10.

They knew the victims, although it is not clear what their relationship was.

The weapons in particular also were not specified.

Will be charged

The four attackers were arrested the next day on Sep. 8, with the aid of images from CCTVs and police cameras.

They will be charged on Sep. 10 for rioting while armed with a deadly weapon.

If convicted of the offence, they could be jailed up to 10 years and caned.

"The police will spare no effort to apprehend those who commit violence and will take firm action against them in accordance with the law," SPF said.
