Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce are engaged

American pop superstar Taylor Swift is getting married to American football player Travis Kelce.
The couple has been dating for two years.
In a post jointly posted on Instagram, the couple wrote "your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married", along with photos of the proposal and engagement ring.
The post was uploaded at about 1am Singapore time and has garnered over three million likes within 30 minutes.
Her Instagram Story of this announcement was also accompanied by her song "So High School" which was speculated to be about her relationship with Kelce.
Post-concert updates and new album
Swift had just recently announced her 12th studio album, "The Life of a Showgirl" on Aug. 12, 2025.
She made an appearance on the New Heights podcast hosted by Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce to announce the release.
This was the first time she appeared on the podcast.
The couple also shared more about how they got together. Two years ago, Kelce used the New Heights podcast to announce that he wanted to date Swift and this was after he failed to get her attention at one of her Eras tour concerts at Arrowhead Stadium, home to Kelce's team.
Swift described Kelce's blunt announcement as a "wild, romantic gesture" which intrigued her.
Swift also shared how she ran to Kelce crying to share with him the news of her getting back her master recordings.
When Swift shared about her hobbies, which included baking sourdough breads, Kelce simply said he's "the luckiest man in the world".
With all these updates, it's no wonder that the Guinness World Records announced that the podcast episode pulled in the most concurrent views for a podcast on YouTube with a total of 1.3 million.
