NDP 2026 to be held at National Stadium
"It will be a fresh venue, and we will have fresh ideas, fresh performances," Defence Minister Chan Chun Sing said.
The 2026 National Day Parade (NDP) will be held at the National Stadium.
Defence Minister Chan Chun Sing said at the 2025 NDP Appreciation Function on Aug. 19 that Singapore Sports Hub will host the 2026 NDP for SG61.
While it has been almost 10 years since the NDP was last held at the National Stadium, Chan said they will try "something new" for 2026.
He said: "It will be a fresh venue, and we will have fresh ideas, fresh performances."
Chan also invited those present at the function to contribute ideas on how to make SG61 at the Singapore Sports Hub a "special and meaningful experience" for everyone.
He said:
"I look forward to you and your teams, and many other fresh participants, joining us next year at the Singapore Sports Hub, where we can try out new ideas, involve more people, and bring in different aspects of our parades, ceremonies and performances that we could differently from what we have been doing at the Padang, and also at the NS Square, which will be ready in a few years' time."
Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth David Neo also shared the news on TikTok with a video of him skydiving.
"Looking forward to welcoming NDP back here next year," said Neo.
