As Singapore's 60th birthday draws near, patriotic fervor is in the air.
Some groove to National Day songs.
Others wear their heart on their sleeves — or flag on their bike.
One man was spotted on a rental bike along Kallang Road with a large Singapore flag mounted at the front and fluttering overhead, forming a mobile column of one.
Along Kallang Road
The scene was shared on TikTok by user @User8858420272413 on Thursday (Aug. 7).
In the clip, the man could be seen pedalling by the kerb on a lime-green bicycle.
A Singapore flag on a mast was fastened to the bike and fluttered in the wind.
Cars whizzed by as the man travelled down the road, possibly turning heads.
Along the way, the man steals glances in the direction of the person shooting the video before slowing down to a stop.
He then looked over his shoulder, appearing to check for oncoming traffic.

Mixed reactions
Patriotic as it may have been, the scene drew mixed reactions.
For some, it roused passions.
One commenter questioned why the man chose to do it along a "busy road".
Another expressed concern, opining that the act was "quite dangerous" as the man was cycling on the road without a helmet.
A similar act was caught on camera in 2021.
