BMW mounts kerb, almost hits car, mounts kerb again & hits van: Man, 26, assisting with investigations

A BMW was seen being driven erratically in Bukit Batok.

Dashboard footage showed the car veering left, right, left and right again, only to eventually hit a van before leaving the scene of the collision.

What footage showed

The BMW appeared to have mounted a kerb while turning right into Bukit Batok West Avenue 3.

It was occupying the left lane of a two-lane road while making the turn.

It was seen veering right before abruptly stopping as it appeared to have almost collided with a Volkswagen on the right lane.

The BMW then veered left and mounted a kerb again.

It then veered right across two double white lines on the road only to hit an oncoming van.

The BMW was seen leaving the scene of the collision with the van following behind.

Police response

In response to Mothership's queries, the police said they were alerted on Aug. 23 at 5:50pm to an accident involving a car and a mini-van along Bukit Batok West Avenue 3 towards Bukit Batok Road.

A 26-year-old male car driver is assisting with investigations.

No injuries were reported.

Police investigations are ongoing.
