Mandopop singer Wakin Chau recently had a concert in Singapore.
The 64-year-old performed at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Jul. 19 as part of his "Wakin Chau The Younger Me Concerts Tour 3.0," world tour.
Chau, whose music career spans over 30 years, is known for songs, such as "Friends" ("朋友") and "You Make Me Happy and Sad" ("让我欢喜让我忧").
The singer last performed in Singapore in May 2023.
Asked to throw belongings into crowd
During the concert, Chau had a playful exchange with the audience.
In a Xiaohongshu post on Jul. 20, the veteran singer revealed that fans would often ask him to toss his belongings into the crowd whenever he performed.
According to Chau, his guitar pick was one of the sought-after items by fans.
At one point, an audience member could be heard shouting for him to "throw the rest [of his belongings] down".

They continued by urging him to throw his shirt next.
Amused, Chau upped the ante by joking that he could throw his shoes, dentures and even wig into the crowd if they really wanted it badly.
