A 29-year-old man has gone missing in Malaysia just two days after getting married there.

The man, identified as He Wenhui (transliterated from Chinese), disappeared after going out for a morning run near his in-laws’ home on Jul. 7.

According to Sin Chew Daily, he had sent a video to his wife at 5:02am, saying he would be home in 10 minutes.

However, he became uncontactable after 5:17 am and has not been heard from since.

Went for morning jog

He, a financial manager from Singapore, had just held his wedding on Jul. 5 in Sungai Long, Malaysia.

His father-in-law told Sin Chew that He would often go for morning runs whenever he visited the area.

On the morning of Jul. 7, security footage capture He going out.

When he failed to return, his wife and in-laws began searching for him.

His family and friends in Singapore also rushed to Malaysia to assist with the search.

While searching the area, they discovered a pair of red slippers along the main road near a gas station close to the park.

The father-in-law confirmed to Sin Chew that He had been wearing those red slippers when he left the house that morning.

The family has since filed a missing person report at the Sungai Long police station, and investigations are ongoing.
