Free SG60 immersive experience at Orchard Library from Aug. 26 to Dec. 31, tickets available now

As part of Singapore’s 60th birthday celebrations, the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI) and the National Library Board (NLB) have unveiled SG60 Heart&Soul, an immersive experience created especially for Singaporeans.

Produced by the team behind The Bicentennial Experience and the SG50 Future of Us exhibition, SG60 Heart&Soul is a multisensory journey through Singapore’s past, present, and future.

The experience comprises a ticketed 60- to 90-minute showcase at the Orchard Library, alongside a non-ticketed series of installations at the atria of Orchard Central and orchardgateway.

Running from Aug. 26 to Dec. 31, here’s what you can expect:

What to expect

Using immersive storytelling and generative AI, the experience offers each visitor a personalised and imaginative glimpse into Singapore’s future and potentially, their own.

Boarding

Your journey begins at Orchard Library, where you'll receive a geo-enabled multimedia guide.

Greeted by shelves of mysterious books, featuring covers illustrated by artists with disabilities, you’ll step into a futuristic phone booth to select your interests in any of Singapore’s four official languages.

Wheels of Time

Travel through time as you listen to and watch Singapore’s history unfold in this dynamic, audio-visual space.

This section features one of the exhibition’s highlights: generative AI visuals that bring your future self to life.

World 60

Inspired by the iconic Holland Village Thambi Magazine Store, this nostalgic installation features 61 newspaper front pages that spotlight key global and local events from 1965 to today.

Home is a Feeling

Conclude your journey in this reflective space, where you can collect a commemorative bookmark as a keepsake.

Ticketing details

Ticket bookings for SG60 Heart&Soul open to the public on Jul. 29.

Admission is free, and tickets for the main experience are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The experience is offered in all four official languages, runs for approximately 60 to 90 minutes, and is recommended for visitors aged seven and above.

Non-ticketed experience

In addition to the main experience at the library, visitors can explore a non-ticketed showcase at Level 1 Atria of Orchard Central and orchardgateway.

Highlights include:

  • A visual tribute to Singapore’s journey through time
  • An orange phone booth offering a peek into the future
  • A generative AI-powered photo booth where you can take home personalised photo postcards and explore safe and responsible AI tools
  • A second photo booth, where you can “pledge your heart and soul to our future.” For every photo taken, Tote Board and Singapore Pools will pledge $1 (up to $500,000) to support mental wellness charities.
