Ethel Neo, Jack Neo's daughter, has car window nearly smashed in broad daylight in Sydney

Ethel Neo had a rather unsettling encounter in Sydney recently.

The 33-year-old, who is the daughter of Jack Neo, is currently based in the Australian city together with her husband and two children.

Car window nearly smashed

On Jul. 29, Neo shared on Instagram that her car window was nearly smashed in broad daylight.

The entrepreneur recounted that her car was parked at a particularly busy street in the city at the time of the incident.

She noted that there was a bank less than 10 metres behind them. And then right in front of them were two restaurants which were relatively full.

Neo expressed shock that someone would attempt such an act in such a visible and populated area, suggesting the perpetrator was likely "quite experienced" to have done it so brazenly.

She also noted that before she moved to Sydney, some people had messaged her saying such incidents are considered "quite common" in Sydney and she had been aware of the risk before moving there.

Neo also reflected on the contrast between life in Sydney and the sense of security many Singaporeans are used to.

According to Neo, the local police are currently investigating the incident and she also commended them for being efficient.
