In the early hours of Jul. 19, Hazura received a phone call that would change her life.

Her husband, Mohammed Fairuz bin Razali, had left earlier that night for his shift as a train technician with SBS Transit, but he never made it to work.

Hazura was told to head to Changi General Hospital (CGH), as the investigating officer required the next of kin to be present.

Assuming he had been injured and was in the emergency department, she rushed to the hospital, only to be met with devastating news: her husband had passed away.

Police confirmed with Mothership that they were alerted to a motorcycle accident at around 10:55pm on Jul. 18.

Fairuz is believed to have self-skidded along Bedok North Road towards New Upper Changi Road.

He was conveyed unconscious to the hospital, where he later passed away.

Police investigations are currently ongoing.

Looking for witnesses.

Fairuz leaves behind his wife, Hazura, and four young children, aged between two and 16.

Hazura is now navigating the aftermath of his sudden death, while caring for their grieving family.

Speaking to Mothership, she described Fairuz as a dedicated and hardworking man, she said the loss has shattered their lives.

"He was a kind, selfless person who always helped others, even when he was going through hardship himself," she said.

She is now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the accident or have footage captured on their dashcam to come forward.

"Your help could provide much-needed answers and closure for our family during this difficult time."

His friend has also made a Facebook post appealing for witnesses.
