Two dog runs opened this weekend at Sengkang and Sembawang respectively, giving more opportunities to pawrents to bring their babies out to exercise in a safe and open environment.
The dog runs are located at Bukit Canberra and Rivervale Shores.
Bukit Canberra
On Jul. 20 morning, Minister for Health Ong Ye Kung attended the opening of the dog run at Bukit Canberra with over 100 residents and 60 dogs.
The opening kicked off with a best-dressed competition, where dogs donned adorable outfits, including a Superman costume and a royal red cape.

Ong said the dog park opening is just the beginning of what is in store for residents, with new facilities such as a library and a stage in Sembawang Park planned with the support of multiple agencies.
Rivervale Shores
Workers' Party Member of Parliament (MP) Louis Chua took to Facebook yesterday to celebrate the opening of Rivervale Dog Run, which was one of Sengkang Town Council's key initiatives in its five-year town plan.
Photos of the event showed Chua attending the event together with his fellow Sengkang MPs—Jamus Lim, He Ting Ru, and Abdul Muhaimin.
The project was a collaborative effort with a resident-led group, Paws on the Shores, a group of dog owners residing in the area.
Chua said the project was made possible with the support of the various agencies and the wider resident community across pet and non-pet owners.
"We hope this dog run continues to bring our community together, promote responsible pet ownership, and foster a greater appreciation of the value of our shared spaces," said Chua.
