'Strangely I've exclusively been asked out by much younger guys': Jean Danker on dating & life after divorce

Mediacorp radio DJ Jean Danker, 46, took to Instagram and asked her fans to send her questions about herself anonymously.

She then posted her replies to several questions on Jun. 10, some of which were about her life after divorce.

One question asked what Danker's thoughts were on dating younger men.

To which she replied:

"Strangely, I've exclusively been asked out by much younger guys. They've been lovely."

Another fan asked Danker what the youngest age is that she would be open to dating.

Danker replied that she had received several similar questions and said:

"I remember recently joking with my girlfriends that my next boyfriend ain't even born yet."

"But seriously, since I've said that, it's only the brave young 20-somethings that have asked me out. The universe is listening all the time."

In another question, a fan, who was dealing with her husband's affair, asked how Danker managed to find the courage to divorce.

To which the DJ replied:

"All relationships are complicated. I find that being courageous is a daily decision I make.

Don't beat yourself up for having any kind of feelings about this, whether it's embarrassment or otherwise. I think you will hit a limit as to what you can live with. That day could be tomorrow or 20 years down the road.

"The thing I can tell you is, it's scariest just before you do it, and even if you leap crying, and fly through the air screaming in fear, you're gonna land on solid ground, I promise you. Be brave."

She also talked about how she handles the feeling of insecurity and loneliness after the losses she had suffered, from losing her parents, to her divorce.
